
IST provides support in a number of ways, both online and in person.
Knowledge Base: Answers to a wide variety of introductory and advanced Berkeley computing and IT questions will be found in the online IST Knowledge Base; it contains frequently asked questions, updates, tips and tricks related to using many of the services IST offers.
Searching or browsing the Knowledge Base is often the quickest way to find the resolution to a problem or the answer to a question.
Service Desk: The IST Service Desk is the main point of contact for people who are using IST Services and who have a question about, or problem with, a service. Contact information is available on the Service Desk page.

Computer Support: Support for campus desktop and notebook computers, offered on a recharge basis.
Training Classes: IST and the campus offer computer training resources for first time users and for those wanting to acquire new skills. All of IST’s Cal Pact offerings are free to UCB staff. Other campus units, for example Educational Technology Services, offer training workshops for UCB Faculty and staff.
Developer Resources: There are a number of ways IST and the campus provide support and resources to campus applications software developers. For example, developers can get information about how to incorporate CalNet services into applications. In addition there are a number of campus user groups for developers.
