The Network Funding Implementation Committee asked IST-Infrastructure Services to publish any agreements with departments that were outside the standard model.
In general, these agreements exist when campus departments perform some or all of the maintenance and upgrades for the parts of the network that are in a given building or on a specified subnet. In each case, we have held discussions with the department with the goal of gaining agreement as to exactly which lines of business are performed by the department and which by IST, and what subnet(s) or building(s) are covered by the agreement.
We call these "Special Agreements". We are getting signed agreements annually with each of the departments, based on a spreadsheet showing lines of business, who performs each, and the cost to IST (if any). As requested by the Network Funding Implementation Committee, we are posting the signed agreements and spreadsheets here.
Although some of the Special Agreements have unique aspects, they fall into 4 Global Lines of Business (GLOB). These GLOBs and their associated charges are depicted on this matrix.
Each year we will ensure that all of the agreements are made available on this site. If you have any questions, please get in touch with George Matchen, gmat@berkeley.edu, 510-642-4217.
