Using McAfee Foundstone Enterprise network scanning system, System and Network Services routinely scans the campus network for threats and vulnerabilities and notifying security contacts so that corrective action can be taken before vulnerabilities can be exploited. Selective scans are also performed on specific campus hosts that are potentially implicated in suspected security incidents, based on information from campus network sensors as well as reports from other sources.
