Departmental On-site Computing Support (DOCS) provides computing
support to campus
departments at their sites on a recharge basis. The
DOCS service is intended for departments
that do not have their own
local support staff, do not have enough computers to warrant hiring
a
full-time support person, or need supplemental or more expert technical
help
(ex. Mac support within a Windows environment).
The goals of DOCS are to assist clients in analyzing their computing needs, setting up their computing environment to meet those needs, and keeping their computing environment up and running through regular preventive maintenance and on-site troubleshooting.
