The Communications group in the OCIO Technology Program Office supports the IST and Technology at Berkeley websites. It also produces UC Berkeley iNews and the Berkeley Computing and Communications newsletter, IT news for and about the campus. In addition the Communications group provides general communications services on behalf of IST and the Office of the CIO.

MIP is a collaborative effort at the University of California, Berkeley to coordinate the application of information technology in museums and other organized, nonbook collections.
As approved by UC Berkeley's Chief Information Officer, Technology Program Office staff will act as Project Manager for enterprise-wide projects. TPO is also available to provide consulting to campus project managers. These services can range from reviewing project plans and other documents to facilitating planning sessions or lessons-learned sessions.
OCIOSTA provides professional technology-acquisition support to the campus. It provides direct support to campus managerial staff who are responsible for strategic technology implementations, works closely with Procurement Services, and maintains ongoing contacts with major technology vendors.
