IST Services Advisory Council

IST Services Advisory Council (SAC) provides advice and recommendations to IST on its recharge services to the UC Berkeley campus. The council’s recommendations will assist in guiding strategic and tactical direction for IST services as well as ensure that these services support campus IT needs and the University mission at large.

SAC reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), and has responsibility and accountability for making recommendations to that office. The council will advise IST specifically on the following issues:

• efficacy of current services
• development of new services
• service abatements
• prioritization of IST recharge service projects
• strategic direction for IST recharge services
