iSCSI Storage Services

The iSCSI protocol enables computers to communicate directly with storage devices over an IP network. SBG's clustered iSCSI gateways connect hosts anywhere on the campus LAN to enterprise array storage. The capacity and pricing options available for iSCSI storage are similar to the SAN offerings. We currently offer standard tier and above in this service. It's a good solution for customers who don't want to colocate their systems at the IST data center, don't need to share storage among multiple systems, and may have large or quickly growing capacity requirements.

Currently, Windows, Linux and Solaris software initiators are supported. Customers who wish to keep Restricted Data on iSCSI-attached storage will need to implement additional security measures such as IPSEC or encrypted file systems.
