and the current, ongoing support
of campuswide administrative computing systems
that reside on the IBM mainframe and Unix.
These legacy systems are the operational underpinnings
for mission-critical enterprise functions at the University.

Replatforming:
The unit is responsible for leadership, research, evaluation, planning,
and implementation
to move systems and people
from current technology platforms
to modern, sustainable technologies
that are cost-effective, reliable, scalable, secure, flexible,
and Internet-based.
Current operations:
The unit provides applications needs assessment, planning, design,
development, testing, migrating, documentation, training, enhancement,
maintenance, production support, and customer support.
