This team is responsible for overseeing the current, ongoing support for the student service systems. This is in constant flux due to continual regulatory, technical, and student service changes. The team is a partner with the Student Affairs Division and particularly with the Office of the Registrar (OR), who sponsor the majority of the student systems. IST and OR work together to ensure that Student Affairs meets the needs of staff, faculty, and student. The manager leads the development of project plans for new initiatives and ensures compliance with legislation and Regents' decisions that affect fees, financial aid, Census requirements, transcripts, etc. The group is currently looking at replatforming student applications (SA) from its current technology to a more modern technology.
This team supports the Financial Aid system, SAM, a Sigma system. This system accepts student aid applications, awards, and applies to student bills. Currently, the Financial Aid Office and IST are preparing to do a major upgrade of the Financial Aid application to a web application.
