Mail Services Barcode System for Outgoing Mail
 

With the implementation of the BFS chart of accounts in July 2000, Mail Services needed a new method to to capture recharge information for outgoing mail. It was no longer cost effective to manually key in account numbers. They decided to implement a barcoding system and asked DTS to develop on online form to allow campus departments to order preprinted barcoded labels, facing sheets and graphics images online. The Barcode System was developed to provide online ordering capabilities, COA (Chart of Accounts) validation and automatic e-mail notification to customers. It also handles online shipping for UPS and FedEx customers.
