Three units of Application Services provide application support targeted specifically to:
mainframe, PeopleSoft, or web applications.
The production control unit provides broad assistance for application operations.
A fifth unit is responsible for determining standards and best practices,
as well as meeting and implementing application security.
- Mainframe Systems:
Provides application support for non-PeopleSoft mainframe applications.
- Application Architecture Group:
Determines standards and best practices for application development within IST.
Promotes application standards and best practices
for IT application developer groups across campus.
Develops reusable modules for use in applications systems.
Determines how to best meet and implement application security requirements.
- Web Applications:
Provides application support for department and enterprise web applications,
including Open Source developments.
- Production Control, Release Management, and QA Testing:
Provides application operations services
including quality assurance, production control (batch execution), release management,
and system and performance testing.
- PeopleSoft:
Provides application support for enterprise administrative systems.
